Environmentally Friendly
PPC Cleaning Services are always working to improve our carbon footprint, and we are fast becoming the greenest window cleaning company in the UK. Here are some of the reasons why:
CURRENT MEASURES:
- Recycling Water:
All the water we use has to be purified first to remove the impurities, all of the waste water is recycled back into the water system.
- Saving Water:
The poles we use to clean the windows are all fitted with water saving devices and shut off valves, this allows us to use far less water on an average day.
- Maximised Round Planning:
Our operators rounds are planned in the most efficient way of working by our operations team. This saves fuel, time and allows us to be very competitive.
- Very Little Chemical Use:
We do not use chemicals for any aspects of our window cleaning, but occasionally have to use them for some of the building and plastic cleaning we do.
- Nearly Paperless:
We became a paperless company in 2016 thanks to the latest technologies, all our operators use an App on a hand held device to log what jobs they complete each day. The only paper we use is the cards we put through the customers door, but they are made from recycled paper.
ADDITIONAL FUTURE MEASURES:
- Electric Vehicles
We have been looking at the possibility of replacing our older diesel vans with new electric ones in the next few years. The biggest problem we have with this now is the lack of large electric vans currently available on the market, and also the cost of the ones that are. This is something we are working towards for 2025
- Completely Paperless
We are looking at having all the communication between us and our customers via email in future, this will avoid the need for having to put a card through the door to tell you we’ve been.
- Solar Energy
We are looking to invest in solar panels to power the water filtration units we use to produce our purified water. The only electricity we use is to power the booster pumps which pressurises the water to push it through the system, and the transfer pump to put the water in the vans.
As you can see from the efforts we make now and from our plans for the future – PPC window cleaners are one of the greenest and most eco-friendly window cleaning companies around.
